Morningside – Asian Modern

Before

Project Scope:

The objective of this renovation was to add an outdoor living space which included a screened porch and deck to the rear exterior of this home to take advantage of the beautiful wooded backyard views while keeping the heat and mosquitos at bay.

The addition of this modern screened porch and deck with cable railing transformed the exterior of this home into a beautiful transitional space between the indoors and outdoors. The porch and deck area added almost 500 sq. ft. to the home. The design of the porch with its clean lines, dark stained wood, vaulted ceiling and exposed beams references the homeowner’s Japanese heritage. The diagonal roof lines of the porch create a covered overhang perfect for grilling in the shade or rain. This spacious outdoor living space is now a beautiful spot for dining, relaxing and enjoying nature.
